About NCW NAVHDA

North Central Wisconsin (NCW) NAVHDA is a chapter of the North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association.

Our chapter is comprised of and lead by upland bird and waterfowl hunters; focusing on training and developing exceptional versatile hunting dogs while promoting conservation, ethical breeding, and good sportsmanship.

Members in NCW NAVHDA range from first-time dog owners to experienced breeders and professional trainers. We help and learn from each other on a monthly basis from April through August. We won't train your dog for you, but we are happy to train you how to train your dog.

NAVHDA is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to foster, promote, and improve the versatile hunting dog breeds in North America; to conserve game by using well trained reliable hunting dogs on both land and water; and to aid in the prevention of cruelty to animals by discouraging nonselective and uncontrolled breeding, which produces unwanted and uncared for dogs.

To participate in Chapter events you must also join NAVHDA International.

Participation in NAVHDA testing is limited to NAVHDA recognized versatile dog breeds. Visit the Recognized Breeds section on the NAVHDA International website.
