In 2014 our chapter introduced the North Central Wisconsin Dog of the Year award. There is no formal criteria for earning this recognition. Each year the previous year's winner chooses a dog from the chapter they feel has earned this recognition. Dogs earning this award are generally examples of great breeding and training. 

 

Each recipient receives a shared plaque that is passed on to the next recipient each year. The Dog of the Year award is presented to his or her owner/handler at the Annual Chapter Meeting each year.
